Exterior

Front Deck
A flat, sturdy deck. There is minimal wear on the non-slip surface. A large stainless steel bowsprit has been added. The bow cleats are also in good condition. The anchor winch operates properly. The fish hold is also in good condition.
Bridge
The view from the windows is good. All navigation lights and other lights are operational. The LED fish-attracting lights on both sides, used for night fishing, reportedly cost about 30,000 yen each. They are powered by a portable generator or a battery. The awning is very sturdy. It’s cleverly designed so that it doesn’t get in the way even when you set up your fishing rod. Since the bulwark is on the lower side for this boat, a handrail extends all the way to the stern for safety.

Since the speed was slow for an engine of this size, the owner suspected something was wrong and performed various maintenance tasks to investigate the cause. The maintenance reportedly included a new turbocharger (200,000 yen), new injection nozzles (150,000 yen), an overhaul of the injection pump (150,000 yen), a new fuel feed pump, and disassembly and cleaning of the intercooler—a substantial amount of work. Even after that, the speed remained unchanged. On a hunch, he decided to trim the stern stabilizer—which was extremely long at the time—and once he did, the boat began to pick up speed. It is said that it now reaches a maximum of 19.5 knots.
